ROTARY WEEKLY UPDATE

What another beautiful week to be Rotarian!

Greetings Members,
Let's all give Tracey, our President Elect, a big round of applause for putting together such a wonderful meeting last week! Barbara Goldberg from Wells Brings Hope did a phenomenal job inspiring us all to do something about the water crisis in Niger! Our Club is honored to be a part of the wonderful mission and work that they are doing to help further prevent children dying before their 5th birthdays due to contaminated water!

Our Club is considering Wells Brings Hope as our first international project and working diligently to apply for a District Grant to support this amazing work! We would love your feedback and engagement! Stay tuned for more information and please let anyone on the Board know if you would like to get involved with our service projects.

COMING UP THIS WEEK:
Our Club's first service project led by our Director of Community Relations, Monica Trepany and our Club Culture Committee is this week! Join us for a special evening of Cocktails, Purses, and Service as we come together to make a meaningful impact on our community. Let's gather for happy hour, where we’ll auction lightly used handbags, generously donated by Brighton customers, and organize care packages for the women and children in local shelters.

This event is all about giving back while enjoying great company and stylish finds.

Savor a selection of light appetizers, connect with fellow community members, and shop for a cause in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. A cash bar will be available for those who wish to enjoy a cocktail or two. It’s the perfect opportunity to blend service with a bit of style and fun! We'll be supporting local women's shelters, with every purse purchased, it is directly funding essential supplies for women in need, helping them rebuild their lives.

ON TOP OF THAT, OUR MDR ROTARY FOUNDATION WILL BE MATCHING DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR UP TO $1,000!!!

That's right! You do not want to miss out on this exciting evening! Make sure to RSVP as soon as possible! CLICK THE LINK BELOW NOW!

NEW MEMBER ALERT! 10 Day Consideration

We are excited to announce that our Membership Committee has put forth, Geoffrey Rocha, to be considered for membership status. Geo has attended more than 3 meetings, events, and socials, and has completed his interview process. The next and final step for consideration is give all of the membership 10 days to raise any objection. Should there be no reason to reconsider Geo for membership then we plan to induct him on Sept. 26th!
