President's Message
Greetings Fellow Rotarians, 
 
I cannot believe that we are already less than 60 days away from 2025!!! Even though last week we did not have a meeting due to Halloween falling on Thursday, we have quite a bit to share out with you all!
  1. BOARD MEETING NOV 4TH - Open to everyone! The Board will be hosting in-person board meetings the first Monday of each month starting with November 4th. Please RSVP in advance so we can ensure you have a seat! Details on the website. 
  2. SOCIAL HAPPY HOUR - NOV 7TH -  at Hacienda Playa Del Rey, CLICK THE LINK BELOW!
  3. GENERAL ASSEMBLY NOV 14 - Please make sure to attend our November 14TH General Assembly. This is a members only meeting where we will be voting to adopt our Club Bylaws and open the floor for nominations for the upcoming 2025-2026 year.
THAT'S RIGHT!! The Board is expanding from 8 to 11 positions and this General Assembly meeting is extremely important, so please make sure to attend!!
 
WHAT'S EVENT MORE EXCITING ... We have 3 Candidates for Membership to induct at this meeting so make sure to join us in welcoming our soon to be MdR Rotarians!

In case anyone is wondering why New Business is at the top of the docket, here is why: 
 
We are going to test run this format so that we can give the general membership an opportunity to be heard at the top of the meeting in case they cannot stay to the end and wait for Open Forum.
 
Typically a Board meeting will last about 2 hours and because I want everyone in the Club to want to come, they are not then forced to wait the entirety of the meeting to be heard and can freely leave or come at their choosing. 

Any member can take the opportunity at the beginning of the meeting during New Business or at the end of the meeting during Open Forum, to bring forward anything they like for consideration and to be heard.
