Greetings Members,
WOW is the word I would describe our week in recap! Let's give a huge round of applause to our Director of Community Relations, Monica Trepany, and the Club Service & Culture Committees for their amazing work at our first Service Project last Thursday evening!! We had over 110+ handbags and purses donated by Brighton Customers and together we stuffed care packages and raised over $5,000 to support Sojourn Women's Shelter!!
1 in 5 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetimes.
1 in 7 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetimes.
1 in 6 homicide victims are killed by a current or former partner.
Raising awareness for Domestic Violence is more important than ever and our Club is proud to be an advocate for support!
We want to thank the wonderful hospitality of George Petrelli's Steak House and the amazing turn out of our fellow Rotarians, friends, and the Trepany Family who made this event wildly successful!
COMING UP THIS WEEK:
We are excited to be inducting our newest member, Mr. Geo Rocha, and we will have special guests from our District in attendance to bestow our Club with 100% Paul Harris Achievement!
Keynote Speakers:
We have amazing speakers lined up for this week's meeting, Jami & Klaus Heidegger from Retrouve! See Below for more information and short bio!
Location: Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club
** Do not park under the big trees because the birds love to camp out and assassinate vehicles with their droppings **
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
The fee is $25 and this includes dinner, parking, and the room rental fee. We want all of our members to understand that this fee is extremely important for the Club to operate in person meetings and we are very blessed to have this partnership with Santa Monica Windjammers Yacht Club who does not require a minimum headcount and is extremely flexible with our dinner options.
Your support literally provides us the opportunity for fellowship and a place to call home for MdR Rotary!
FOR THIS WEEK'S MEETING WE MUST HAVE YOUR RSVP IN ADVANCE! EVERYONE WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO GO HOME WITH SOME AMAZING PRODUCTS FROM RETROUVE!!
