PAUSE FOR PEACE

Date: Monday, September 21, 2026 (all day)

Description:

On the International Day of Peace, the Rotary Club of Marina del Rey is doing one thing, all day, everywhere we go: letting someone go ahead of us. In the checkout line. At the four-way stop. Through the door. Tell them why, and ask them to pass it on.

There is no cost, no sign-in, and nothing to turn in. Peace is not only made at treaty tables — it is made in the ordinary yielding that makes a community livable. One pause is a stone dropped in the water, and the rings keep going.

Everyone is welcome to join us: members, families, coworkers, neighbors. Contact Joan Shaver, Peace Chair, or Nancy Voss, President, at nvossrotary@gmail.com.
