President's Message

Dear Friends of the Marina del Rey Rotary Club,
 

The chartering of the Rotary Club of Marina del Rey in July 2024 marked more than the launch of a new club, it ignited a movement rooted in service, kindness and hope for a brighter world. 

Our Rotary Club is made up of a passionate, purpose driven, and wonderfully diverse group of individuals who come together to do meaningful work both in our community and far beyond. We empower one another to lead with purpose and listen and act with heart.

This year, we are focusing on creative solutions that uplift lives and bring people together. It’s just the beginning of the powerful work we know we can create together.

Our work is guided by Rotary’s timeless motto: Service Above Self. As part of a global organization with 1.4 million members and over 47,000 clubs worldwide, we are united in our commitment to create
a meaningful and lasting impact. From global health initiatives like polio eradication to district-wide efforts and grassroots projects right here at home, we are proud to be part of something much greater than ourselves.

When we act with compassion and intention, that energy is felt and it has the power to move mountains. We remain dedicated to supporting youth focused projects, initiatives that uplift seniors,
projects that help individuals who are experiencing homelessness, and others in need. This year, we are also expanding our efforts to include environmental sustainability, mental health awareness, animal care and our Club’s first international project.

While service is at the center of what we do, our club is also a place where friendships flourish, laughter is shared, and every member is supported like family.
